Fun with Circuit Boards

On Tuesday we experimented with circuit boards. First, we tried to make a complete circuit with one light bulb. Then, we moved on to two light bulbs, and some of us even figured out how to incorporate a switch into the circuit. It was a ton of fun 🙂

Electrical Circuits

We have been learning about electrical circuits. Today we worked with special conductive play dough, a battery pack, and a light bulb to try to build a complete circuit to light the bulb. How were you successful at lighting the bulb? What are some things that prevented the bulb from lighting up? What have you learned about electrical circuits?

Weathering and Erosion Experiment

We have been learning about weathering and erosion, so today we did an experiment to see what happens when giant rocks tumble down the side of a mountain. We used sugar cubes to represent the rocks, put them in a container and shook it 200 times (that represented them falling down the mountain).
