STEM – Igloo Construction

On Friday we had a fun, STEM, igloo construction challenge.  Our goal was to construct a hollow igloo with only blocks of “ice” (sugar cubes).  We discussed the shape of igloos and what the entrance typically looks like.  We had some difficulty figuring out how to close the igloo.  One person was able to make a small igloo that was fully enclosed, but of course, Ms. Pjura did not get a picture of it in time.  How do you think real igloos are made?
